Mar. 1st, 2009 06:37 pm"I KNEW it!" Billy shouted, the moment he hung up the phone. Mei Ling had been waiting for him by the door when it had rang. She watched him get more and more tense as he heard whatever it was the other person was telling him.
"Knew what?" she asked.
Oh yeah. She didn't know the truth about his family. Crap he needed to unload on someone. "Uh, nothing....Well something, but nothing you need to worry about. I'm just glad I'm spending the next week or so on the other side of the planet."
He would be spending Spring Break in New Zealand with Mei Ling. They were ostensibly going as friends. But as Zanya had made herself understandably scarce (it was understandable now anyway) he and the Asian Australian had been getting somewhat, er, close.
