Letters Home and elsewhere
Sep. 15th, 2007 09:43 pmDear Mom
Hi, sorry it's been so long since I've written. Things got a little hectic here. The summer session is over, and fall classes have started. This means we got another big influx of new students in. They seem pretty cool, and I'm possibly on the way to making some new friends.
Which is nice because a lot of kids left at the end of the summer, which was no fun. What's weird though, is I keep meeting people for the first time, even when they've been here for a while.
I've begun to tell some people, about my life. The truth I mean. I figured it was actually safer that way, if anything should happen. Also I'm still going to therapy every now and then.
Ami and I broke up, not long after I saw you last. The relationship...well it didn't last. No new girls in my life so far. Yes, I would tell you.
Other than that, there's not a lot to tell you. So, I guess I'll just sign off, and try to not let so much time go between letters.
Love,
Billy
Dear Anastasia and James
Well life here continues to be amusing. The powers that be here had to take a leave of absence, which left us in the care of someone who Dad might have gotten along swimmingly with. Or he'd have shot her. Not sure which. God knows I was tempted. As were a lot of the folks here. Actually I was more tempted to put a bomb in her office, but I settled for painting it blue. It was pink you see. I can see you shuddering from here Anastasia.
I only even met her once actually, and, I hope you'll be proud to hear, I completely kept my cool. She gave me aphasia for a while, but I consider myself the winner because she never made me admit to any actual wrong doing, and never even noticed that I was mocking her the whole time. And the whole not losing my temper thing, which I like. The students were protesting all over the place, but no one got violent. Well none of the students did, but the teachers finally took care of her. With a bit of the old extreme prejudice. Well not that extreme, they didn't kill her or anything.
Before that there were dinosaurs. Got clawed up by a Saber tooth Tiger and had to sit most of the weekend out. Bastards. It I'd been armed I could have taken it. Maybe not the big lizards, but that cat, definitely. Which I say with confidence cause it's not here.
I'm taking a few...shall we say practical courses this semester, in addition to regular stuff, and the ones I took over the summer. Maybe this is a strange question, and I almost hope the answer is no, but have either of you heard word about Storm Shadow? If you have, or in some way know how to get hold of him, let him know that I'm
doing okay, and even found someone who's been able to help with my meditation. Which helps with the keeping my temper, and paranoia under control.
Well that's all from this secret neck of the woods. Talk to you soon.
Sincerely,
William
Dear Sis
So, my roommate got a puppy. She's adorable, a little Husky. If you don't know what that is, you can look it up. Siberian Husky. He named her Sarah. Myself I got toad for awhile, I don't remember exactly what kind he was, but he was really colorful. Another student here told me his named was Claude. How did he know you ask? Well, don't tell mom, but there's a talking frog here. Swear to God.
Dunno when I'll get to come see you guys again, so in the meantime, some brotherly advice. If you fight with your friends, try not to hold a grudge for long. Being silly is a lot of fun no matter how old you are, foreign languages are cool to learn, and when picking colleges, definitely go for the ones with the good looking campuses.
Love,
Your brother, Billy
