G.I. Joe Headquarters, Wednesday

Billy had never noticed the tiny bit of extra weight in his bag when the Gremlin stowed away after his most recent trip to Fandom.

He never noticed it stowing away when he went to headquarters for a few days. Though Cobra was soundly defeated, there were still bad guys out there, giving G.I. Joe Carte Blanche for recruiting and equipment and missions.

Billy had decided to sign on as a reserve member, and besides, the Pitt had the best gym he'd ever seen.

The first inkling he got that something was wrong was when he saw Beachhead getting ready to drill a few new recruits. They were from the Army, Navy, Air Force, National Guard and even NCIS, CIA, NSA and possibly even an MI6 agent.

He loved Beachhead's speeches. He also, though he never admitted it, loved being used as an example of overcoming difficulties. That was one reason he was here. To show off being able to do cool stuff despite having an artificial leg and only one eye.

Then Beachhead began to sing.

Billy stared. "Ohhhhhhh frakking shazbot."

Yes a Gremlin has infiltrated G.I. Joe headquarters. I am now taking suggestions for victims and hallucinations.
