Astoria Oregon, Late Saturday Night
Oct. 14th, 2012 01:02 amBilly rather liked chilling out on the porch at night. Even when that involved actual chilling, as with the onset of fall, it could get a bit nippy out at this time of night.
And right now he was very much enjoying the silence. Tommy and Anastasia were both in bed, his sister was off at a friend's house, and his parents were likewise out. He was enjoying the silence because today Ana had outdone herself tantrum-wise. For the most part she was a well behaved girl. But sometimes she just let loose.
His step-father figured that kids were like boilers. Sometimes they needed to let off some steam to stay sane. Yeah right. I have an insane father. And sometimes even he seems stable in comparison.
Today he couldn't really blame his daughter though. She missed her mother. And she just couldn't understand why they hadn't been able to visit yet.
At least she'd stopped climbing onto the roof. She'd scared the crap out of him when she did that.
