Every light was on. But it wasn't enough. He wasn't going out like this. Not if he could help it. He was currently lighting the candles he'd bought at sanctity to shine light on any remaining shadows.

"But, everyone's still...here right?"

[yes but he's more focusing on the fading away aspect. he's been cold before.]

"Mostly. People are getting more and more transparent. They are still here, just not... visible." She tried to reach out and reassure him with a touch, but her hand went right through. Ami bit her lip in frustration.

Billy was trying to put on a brave facade but it was getting harder.

He looked so... small? Alone? transparent? Ami wasn't sure but it made her want to cry. Instinctively she attempted to hug him. Predictably, she went right through him, completely and ended up on the other side. "Oh"

Billy clenched his jaw. "If it was just me I could go around and make people think I was a ghost." he tried to joke.

"And say boo a lot?" Ami was valiantly not crying. "You know, i really wish i could give you a hug right now."

"When this is over we'll do that a lot." he promised. and he really, really hoped he would be able to keep that promise.

Billy managed another smile. One that didn't reach his eye however.

Ami sighed. " It will be alright, i promise." She had so much conviction in her voice, as if she truly believed what she said.
