The debris flew everywhere and her vision was impaired, she clutched at her other flashbang grenade and threw it. The explosion was loud and powerful, just enough to even the playing field and fired blindly to her right.
Recoiling at the explosion, the two aliens were obviously badly affected by both the light and the sound. The firing continued, but became sporadic and wild, as the alien advancing on the right took fire from the human's attack. Bursts of energy exploded nearby from the left, but the shots were wide and did little damage to the crates, not coming close to hitting the human.
Rose ducked, ears ringing with weapons fire and the grenade she threw. The first hulking tentacled figure near her left she fired three shots in then to the shadowy figure to her right.
All three shots hit the alien on the left in the torso, sending it staggering backward and screeching. It fired wildly into the air, the blast exploding off the ceiling. The alien to the right took the shots as well, two to the torso and one to its weapon arm. Dropping the now useless gun, it charged forward in hopes of reaching the human before she was able to fire again.
Rose saw the figure coming at her but wasn't fast enough to pull away, she didn't bother shooting at it and used the BFG rifle as a bo stick but it got her as soon as she butted it on the head with the rifle.
Luckily for the human, the head was a vulnerable spot for the aliens, and this one foundered, tentacles swiping at the human as it flailed and tumbled against her.
Meanwhile, the alien on the left, still shrieking in pain, got off another volley of poorly-aimed shots.
One of the tentacles hit Rose on the shoulder, she let out an "Oof" and backed away, used to be she didn't shoot anyone alien or otherwise once they're done. It was a mark of how far she's gone that she didn't even think when she shot the alien on the head again.
Another set of shots alerted Rose of the second alien, she ducked, she had clear shot of the alien and squeezed the trigger.
This time the first alien when down with a dull thud, and didn't get back up.
The second alien was just about to attempt to take cover when the human's shot blasted into it, sending it reeling before it too slumped to the ground.
Rose breathed in hard but she didn't take her chances slowly she approached one alien after the other and toed them. No movement. The rifle hang uselessly to her side and she looked at the aliens, expression closed.
