"Home free!" Rose said, then flashed another grin at them, "We just need to land!"

She didn't mention that this would be the first time she'd be landing on her own.

"Oh, showers, yes." Tori grinned, laughing and agreeing with John. "Home free, indeed." Tori had complete faith in Rose. Landing would be nothing.

Rose bit her lip and concentrated as they hit the atmosphere and the gravity began pulling them in.

From:

"I nominate you official Alien Pilot and Chief Lander." John unbuckles to buckle himself in the right way this time.

Tori laughed. "I totally second that nomination."

Rose smiled, "I'll accept that title," The ship shuddered badly as the gravity and kinetic energy took effect. Rose sturggled to keep the ship steady.

"Ohgod" John's stomach decided that no, it wanted to stay up there *pointed inertially* and didn't wanna play with the other organs. John clamped his arms around his stomach, and finally gave in.

"WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" he yelled, throwing his arms up like on a roller coaster.

Tori grinned at Rose. "Glad to hear it."

She felt the ship shudder and the gravity kick in. It was a comforting feeling, even if it was a tiny bit nerve wracking. Tori laughed at John's reaction.

John looked over and nodded at her to do it as well. He was waiting for the corkscrew and twisty moves next. Barrel rolls?

From:

Rose could only wish it was barrel rolls, fact of the matter was, she was only there to try guiding the ship and hopefully not crash it. She reduced the speed and gritted her teeth.

Tori would've liked to see and experience some barrel rolls. She didn't think the ship was going to crash. They had come this far.

From:

The shaking was bad, oddly it reminded Rose of all the times in the TARDIS, all she needed were the smoke and explosions. There was something beeping on one of the control panels, she looked at it and did what the Doctor would have done, or else she hoped it was what the Doctor would have done and hit it with her fist.

John appreciates a pilot who knows the sacred art of percussive maintenance. "Might hafta kick it, too. Sometimes it helps!"

Tori grinned, agreeing with John. "If hitting doesn't help, kicking almost always works." She admitted.

The beeping on one end ceased but the other one continued, she shrugged and kicked the panel. It stopped too. "Thanks!" She called back, a huge explosion of the screen caught her attention (http://l1ttle-billy.livejournal.com/17624.html?thread=150488#t150488).

"Fuck off and die!" John flew the double bird, just to make the message clear.

Tori witnessed the explosion, and tears of happiness and relief shone in her eyes.

It was over. For good.

The concussion wave hit and they barrelled to Earth faster, Rose pulled on the control column and attempted to slow it down. Green and brown appeared on screen. She pulled some more until she was straining, and there was a park, familiar. The ship must be on automatic descent here all she needs to do is slow. it. down.

Earth hit sooner and there was a horrible crunch a shudder. Rose sat on her chair, stunned. "We're here."

"ow." John shook his head. "I think you lost a few points at the end there for not sticking the landing, but the Olympic judges are still giving you 9s. Except the German one, but they're always fuckers."

Tori chuckled at John's response. "We're home." She couldn't believe it.

Looking to Rose, Tori smiled brightly. "Thank you."

"Oi," Rose said to John, "It was my first time landing, so I say we did pretty good!" Then to Tori, "You're welcome, just glad to be back on ground though."

Then looked around at the control panel and burst out laughing out of pure relief.
