Wyatt was anxious to kick some alien ass for hurting his baby brother.

He was about to get his chance. An alien warrior down the hall raised its raygun and fired a blast toward Chris and Wyatt.

Wyatt's shield went up instinctively, protecting both him and his brother from the blast and sending it ricocheting down the hall. "That all you got?" Wyatt taunted.

What was it with these tiny humans and their stupid shields?

This particular alien probably was insane, if you followed the classic definition, since despite the failure of its first attack, it picked up speed as it advanced down the hallway toward them, firing steadily.

Chris flung his arm out and TK'd the blaster out of the alien's hand.

For a moment, the alien almost didn't know what to do with itself, now that its blaster had been taken away. That only lasted so long, though, and it doubled its pace toward then, tentacle arms flailing chaotically.

Wyatt was pissed. These alien son of bitches had hurt his brother, and for that they were all going to pay. His power was channeled through his anger, and he lashed out with it, sending an explosive blast at the alien.

The alien barely had time to shriek before the puny human's unexpectedly powerful blast blew it to pieces.

But it did manage to alert one of its fellows before it died, and soon raygun blasts were lancing toward Chris and Wyatt from the opposite direction.

"This is getting tiring now," Chris remarked, throwing his arm out, intending to TK the alien into a wall.

The alien slammed into the wall and growled in frustration as it struggled back to its feet. It kept a hold on its blaster this time, and fired again -- this time hoping to ricochet its shots off the walls and into the boys.

"Stay the fuck away from my brother!" Wyatt growled, clenching his fist after his shield blocked the blaster shot. The alien may have felt an invisible force closing around its throat. Or what passed for a throat.

The alien started flailing its tentacles around in what might have been construed as panic as it felt its air supply being choked off. Still, it was struggling to reach them, tentacles lashing out toward them.

After making sure Billy was okay, Tori scouted the hallway to see if there was anyone else in need of help. It seemed as though the abductees were being taken care of, which made Tori feel a whole lot better.

Wyatt caught sight of Tori. "Hey, Tori!" he called. "You okay?"

Tori hadn't expected to hear Wyatt's voice, so she might have jumped a tiny bit. Spotting Wyatt, she was glad to see him.

"Hey." She nodded, making her way over to him. "I'm fine." Shoulder be damned.

"What the frak is going on here?" Wyatt said. "Where did these freaks come from?"

"I don't know." Tori shook her head. "All I know is they were intent on studying us and seeing how we work as a species. And then, when we stopped a few of them last night, they decided we couldn't be allowed to live." She shuddered, thinking of the projected images from the smaller alien.

"Then I'm all for killing all of them first," Wyatt said.

Tori noted Wyatt's anger ~~I'm assuming he's pissed~~ and nodded, feeling the same way.

"Some have taken to hiding and firing energy blasts from far off." She explained, thinking of what happened to her shoulder. "I think most of the abductees have been rescued, I know Conner took care of Lana and both Billy and John are around here too."

"Then how do we get rid of them so they don't come back and hurt anybody else?" Wyatt said, looking around. "There's gotta be a way to take them down."

"From what I've seen, they're not that hard to take down. Just that some of them are bigger than us, so it might take a little while." Tori admitted. "Trust me, when they go down, they don't get back up." She explained. "They don't seem to have armor of any kind." She added, after a moment, thinking of when she kicked the alien in the head. It felt like soft skin.
