405, Thursday Night

Upon returning from the clinic, Billy flopped down in his bed. Then immediately rose with a groan and called Ami to leave a message letting her know he was back. Then he returned to his bed.

Having left Setsuna with a promise to be back real soon, Ami went to check on the boyfriend. She knocked on the door. "billy? Are you there?"

"I'm here." he said without rising. "C'mon in, it's unlocked. Fair warning, I ran into some trouble, so I'm a bit the worse for wear."

the only readily obvious sign of his troubles is a black eye.

Ami slipped in, closing hte door. "Oh. Are you alright? What happened! I was worried!"

"I wound up in the wrong world. Got beaten up and tossed in Jail with Blair, then a biker gang broke us out and my dad helped me get back to the causeway, but I had to knock myself out to get to it." He was rather tired and might not make a huge amount of sense.

Ami kind of stared. "Did you get a concussion?" she asked, wondering if that was why he was not making sense. She walked over, worriedly. leaving for the weekend in 15

"No, just a black eye, some cracked ribs and bruises from blocking things. And I didn't get much sleep since monday."

"Ouch. What happened? Or do you want to sleep and tell me later?"

Billy pushed himself up into a sitting position, leaning against the wall. "I can tell you now, just be aware I might fall asleep in the middle of it."

"Ok... Ami perched nearby. "So.. what happened?"

"Well I was trying to get to my version of the mainland, I have some money invested, and I thought it might be a good idea to get back on speaking terms with the future mother of my children, just in case we really do have to go break them out of a lab. But I wound up on a world where my dad's organization were actually the goodguys, fighting a brutal totalitarian regime."

Ami blinked. "They were the god guys? So it was backwards?" she tried to understand.

"Yep. Apparently in that world I'm an agent for the government, and when they found me where I wasn't supposed to be, they arrested me."

"So the other you is evil?" Ami's head was beginning to ache.

"I'm hoping just misguided. Apparently he was stolen from my parents as a baby, and I guess raised by the government. I knocked him out and handed him over to his father before leaving."

"Wow. I hope he can... get better." She frowned. "I thought when you went to the mainland, you always went to your own universe?"

"Yeah me too. I'm not sure what happened."

"Weird." Ami leaned over and gave Billy a kiss on the cheek. "You should rest."

"Mmm,i'd love to but i need to go make sure Setsuna hasn't jumped in the pond. She got slightly less then sober at Caritas..."
