The advantage to having very little in the way of personal possesions, was that it didn't take very long to pack them.
It was a shame really. He'd had fun here. Homecoming for instance. He liked many of those he'd met. He had Greatly enjoyed his classes. And the clubs.
But he simply did not trust this school. And no amount of distracting himself had succeeded. Today's detention had been the final straw. He was now convinced that students were not merely being taught, they were being groomed. To be warlords or terrorists he didn't know, but he'd be no party to it.
And Aziraphale knew he was lying. He'd hinted that others might as well. Who? And how long before that information fell on the wrong ears? His call to witness protection had yeilded no results, so it was time to do what he'd intended ever since leaving Trans Carpatia. Strike out on his own.
He paused, wondering if he should try to warn some of those students he'd liked. River, Blair, Lana, Naomi, Evie, Setsuna, Joxer, Willow...but no. Like them or not, he didn't know if he trusted them. Maybe Blair. But what Blair didn't know, he couldn't tell anyone, voluntarily or otherwise. Best to just disapear.
He made one last check around the room to make sure he had everything. He'd have to stop by the weapons locker to retrieve his sword, guns and throwing stars but hopefully...hang on, what was that under his bed?
Something near the wall. He crawled under to get a closer look. Some kind of, medallion or something. He reached out to grab it and get it into the light for further inspection, but the moment his fingers touched it, his whole body tingled violently.
Anyone nearby, might hear an alarmed shout, and the sound of something clattering into the vent.
And see a bearded dragon where Billy had been a second ago.
