There was a confused looking Murdock, wondering how the heck he'd wound up here.

Billy saw the confused looking guy and waved. "Hey, you lost?"

From:

"I dunno? I was walkin' down by the causeway, an' poof! I'm here. Where the heck is here? And who are you?"

From:

"Oh you're from Fandom then? Yeah that causeway can be a little tricky. You're in St. Petersburg Florida, and I'm William Kessler. I graduated from Fandom last year."

From:

"Oh that explains it," he rolled his eyes. "Island's been a little crazier than normal. Murdock, currently teaching aviation."

"I loved that class." Billy smirked. "Yeah I was there for the melodramatic weekend."

From:

"Oh good," he grinned slightly. "Then I don't have to try to explain it."

"So you like flyin'?" Always his favorite topic.

"It's a lot of fun." Billy nodded. "It's not my area of expertise exactly, but it's pretty cool."

From:

"I love flyin'. I'm more comfortable in the air."

He glanced around a bit, "So...this some kind of party?"

From:

"Yeah my room mate insisted on throwing me a birthday party. I think he just wanted an excuse to have a beach party."

From:

"Dude, happy birthday!" he grinned. "I woulda brought somethin' but," he shrugged, "I wasn't exactly plannin' on comin'."

Billy snickered. "That's okay man. I appreciate the thought."

From:

Like Adam would miss this. Please.

He was glad portals were reliable like that. He wondered who else might show up, what other Fandom folks might make an appearance.

"Adam!" Billy grinned. "Back to being male again I see."

Just then Billy's new room mate called out "Hey Cap'n Bill! Your burger's ready!"

"Hey Billy," Adam laughed. "Yeah, I'm not sure that's an experience I want to relive anytime soon." Okay, it wasn't that bad.

"Once was enough. And when it happened when I wasn't even on the island, that was kinda freaky. How are we supposed to explain those things to outsiders?"

"Hey Cap'n Bill, didja hear me?" his room mate shouted. A girl who looked out of place with multiple piercings and looking rather bikerish heard the nick name and collapsed into giggles.

Billy ignored them both. Maybe Adam would think Tony was talking to someone else.

"It seems like Fandom doesn't want to let go of us," Adam guessed. "That is a damn good question, Billy." One that he didn't know how to answer. It'd be a little easier to explain to his friends back home, but once he started college, or it happened when he was around his family? Oh boy.

Adam raised an eyebrow, his smile betraying his amusement. "That a new nickname?" Cause, really, who else would be called that, especially when it was Billy's birthday party?

Billy sighed. "Yeah, Tony, that's my new room mate started calling me that and it's started to spread."

From:

Adam chuckled at that. "Hey, it looks like normalcy's starting to sink in, huh?"

From:

"Apparently. It really hit me during homecoming though. I was standing in line for the ferris wheel and I thought, I'm standing in line for a ferris wheel. Weird."
