"Are those girls watching me?" he asked her. They were making a sand castle on the beach and discussing what to do about her scheme of looking for pirate treasure. She'd heard a local legend about a chinese crew of pirates hiding some treasure in the mountains.
Jeanie took a glance over to where he had indicated. "Yup."
"Guess they've never seen a guy with an eye patch and only one leg before."
Jeanie smirked. "Maybe they think you're cute."
"They're what, nine, ten years old? Shouldn't they still think boys are icky?"
