Along the US/Canadian Border

l1ttle_billyBilly, Deep Cover, and Citizen Soldier sat in a booth at a diner, waiting for their pick up. The prisoners had been taken away and the compound was crawling with military intelligence personel, checking for any useful intel.
"Yep." Deep Cover grinned. "That's us. Real American Heroes."
Billy snorted. They had just finished a mission, infiltrating and bringing down a Cobra cell. "Those guys probably never even heard the real Commander speak, much less seen him." He stretched, wincing as the bullet graze on his shoulder twinged. "God I can't wait to get back to college."
Deep Cover was the one who snorted then. "Yeah right. The hardest assignment I ever had was being your roommate. All the teachers seemed to think that a vacation was a perfect time to assign extra homework."
"Yep." Deep Cover grinned. "That's us. Real American Heroes."
