Billy sat on the ledge, watching the sun rise. Recently his life had been rather more interesting than it had been in a few months. The really amazing thing, was that for the most part, it had all been positive.
Sure, his meeting in DC hadn't been a bright point in his life, but it had led to meeting Zanya. And kicked off one of the more entertaining eekends of his life. Between Nadia being slightly crazy, and those Knights who say Ni, it had upped his affection for this crazy little island. He was glad he'd been forwarned.
Other things had been nice too. Being welcomed at Kawalsky's Party, even though he barely knew the guy. As unpleasant as it had been at the time, he felt better having divulged a bit of himself to Lana, though, she probably didn't feel the conversation had done her much good. He'd greatly enjoyed Lit Class, and Religion. And he'd realized recently, that he kinda liked having somewhat random conversations. Like a normal kid.
And then had come Thanksgiving. he doubted if the Baroness had meant to actually indoctrinate him into hating the holiday with her annual rants against it, but that had been the end result. Learning Aziraphale's true nature hadn't been a high point either. It hadn't made him any less creeped out by the man.
But there was something Aziraphale had said, that still stuck with him. And made him wonder if this year, he might actually be able to stave off, or at least mute, his yearly deep, dark, depression. it was worth a shot at least.
