Five police cars, one fire truck, and two ambulances arrived. Uniformed police got out of the cars and began a sweep of the immediate area. The first man out of one of the cars however, was not wearing a uniform. Well, not a police uniform at any rate.

The man in the black suit strode purposefully towards Snake-Eyes.

"What in god's name happened here? Scarlett said you and Billy were going to rescue Storm Shadow. She didn't say anything about a pitched battle in the middle of Jersey with the Dreadknocks."

Snake-Eyes could only shrug, and started signing an explanation.

[Live play of the aftermath of Billy's plot. For those who are already involved, and NFB due to distance. Small OCD coming is up.]

Adam hadn't really sustained any injuries, he'd just be a bit bruised and sore in the morning.

But that didn't matter, he was just worried about Billy.

After calming down a bit, Anemone wandered over to where Adam was lurking. "So, any ideas on how we explain missing class to Master Skywalker? Somehow, I doubt saying, 'Sorry, we weren't there 'cause we were beating people up' is going to get us very far."

That actually made Adam laugh a bit. Shaking his head, he sighed. "Honestly, I don't know? Maybe we just tell him the truth? That Billy needed our help and we didn't want to let him do this on his own?"

Though, the more he thought about it, the more he wondered how angry Anakin might get. "Though, that might not go over too well."

"We'd get the lecture about pride again," she said gloomily, "Or the one about letting the adults handle it. I hate that lecture."

Anemone sighed and twirled her hair. "We have to tell him the truth, he knows if we're lying," she said. "Maybe if we go with something neutral? Just say we were called on a mission?"

"I think hearing those once is enough," Adam shook his head, grimacing slightly.

"That's the only option," he admitted, agreeing with her. "That might work, it is the truth and we just don't have to elaborate."

"Do you know when his office hours are? It's probably better to go forth and confess, rather than waiting to be called in," she decided. "After all, that would be the ethically responsible thing to do, and it's one less thing to get yelled at for."

"I'm not sure, honestly," Adam admitted. "I think he has them on Tuesdays, and a couple other days during the week," he guessed. "It most certainly is," he agreed wholeheartedly. "Hopefully that will gain us a few brownie points with him."

Hey, Adam was being optimistic here.
