New Jersey, Thursday Late Morning/Early Afternoon

Five police cars, one fire truck, and two ambulances arrived. Uniformed police got out of the cars and began a sweep of the immediate area. The first man out of one of the cars however, was not wearing a uniform. Well, not a police uniform at any rate.

The man in the black suit strode purposefully towards Snake-Eyes.

"What in god's name happened here? Scarlett said you and Billy were going to rescue Storm Shadow. She didn't say anything about a pitched battle in the middle of Jersey with the Dreadknocks."

Snake-Eyes could only shrug, and started signing an explanation.

Tori heard the EMT's question but stayed quiet.

Her leg and shoulder hurt like hell, but Billy was the one who needed the attention. Tori would tend to her injuries later.

Except there were enough EMT's to notice when other people were injured. The best among them was over seeing Billy's being loaded onto a stretcher. That left one of the younger ones to check on her.

"Hey, you look like you could use a band-aid." he young man said.

Tori eyed the young man for a moment, knowing it might take more than a band-aid to treat her wounds.

"I'll be fine," she answered, not wanting them to have to dote on her.

"You sure? There's no point in being tough and macho if it's just gonna result in a horrible infection or permanent damage."

Tori frowned slightly, knowing if any of the guys were here, they'd make sure she got some medical attention.

"I guess it couldn't hurt to get looked at," she sighed, giving in.

"It rarely does." he agreed.

where's she injured again?

Tori managed a small smile. "No, you're right."

[Her leg had a deep gash in it and her shoulder had been cut open by some brick shrapnel.]

He checked her over. "Well, I don't see anything too terribly serious, but your leg may need some stitches." He took out some bandages and went to work on her leg and shoulder.

Great, just what she needed.

"Stitches?" Tori frowned, not liking the sound of that. That would mean she would have to let them heal and she might not be able to do certain activities... like surfing, for a while. "Guess I should get it checked out at the hospital, then?"

"That would be my reccomendation yeah."

"Okay, I'll make sure to do that then," Tori admitted, giving in. As much as she didn't like the attention, she knew it would get worse if she just let it go.
